Concluyó gira de trabajo de activistas cubanos por Europa

Baltimore, Maryland. 16 de mayo de 2006. En el día de ayer concluyó una gira de trabajo en Europa. Un pequeño grupo encabezado por el Comandante Huber Matos, y acompañado por el Ing. César Alarcón representando al Movimiento Cubano Unidad Democrática a S.O.S. Justicia y al Comité Cubano Pro Derechos Humanos, el profesor Francisco Condis, Secretario de Relaciones Internacionales de Cuba Independiente y Democrática y el Lic. Luis Tornés Aguililla representante del Partido Socialdemócrata de Cuba en Francia.

En Bruselas, se realizaron encuentros con diputados del Parlamento Europeo con quienes se discutió la necesidad de que la Unión Europea haga pagar un precio a la dictadura castrista por sus violaciones de los derechos humanos, semejante a las medidas que se tomaron penalizando al régimen de apartheid surafricano.

En ciudad de Colonia, Alemania, Huber Matos, quien denunciara públicamente en el año 1959 la traición de Fidel Castro, y el Ing. Alarcón sostuvieron varios encuentros con la pequeña comunidad cubana asentada en esa ciudad, se conversó sobre la problemática actual y la necesidad de cerrar filas y esfuerzos en la causa común de devolverle la libertad a la isla.

En París los activistas se concentraron en darle promoción a la versión en francés del libro “Como llego la noche” de Huber Matos que ya se encuentra disponible en librerías francesas bajo el titulo “Et La Nuit Est Tombee” publicado por la editorial “Belles Letres” el programa del día incluyo entrevistas a la Televisión francesa, a la Radio internacional francesa tanto en español como en francés, en todos estos espacios se planteo la problemática actual cubana, la necesidad de solidaridad por parte de Europa a la causa del pueblo cubano. Periódicos como “Le Monde” y “Le Figaro” recogieron este evento en su edición sabatina.

Posteriormente y cerrando la gira el Secretario General de Cuba Independiente y Democrática, (CID) Comandante Huber Matos, el Ing. César Alarcón, el Prof. Francisco Condis y el Lic. Luis Tornés Aguililla, sostuvieron un encuentro en la sede de la editorial las “Belles Lettres” con los escritores franceses Gilles Bataillon y Serge Raffy, este último autor del libro “Castro el Desleal".

Leading the small group Commander Huber Matos, was accompanied by César Alarcón representing the Cuban Movement for a Unified democracy, S.O.S Justice and the Cuban Pro Human Rights Committee, professor Francisco Condis, Secretary of International Relations of Independent and Democratic Cuba, and Lic. Luis Tornés Aguililla representing the Cuban Social-Democratic Party in France.

In Brussels, meetings were held with deputies of the European Parliament to discuss the need for the European Union to make the Castro dictatorship pay a price for its violations of human rights, similar to the measures that were taken penalizing the apartheid regime from South African.

In Cologne, Germany, Huber Matos, who publicly denounced the treason by Fidel Castro in 1959, and Eng. Alarcón held several meetings with the small Cuban community from that city. Topics discussed were the present problems in Cuba and the need to close ranks and efforts in the common cause to bring back freedom to the island.

In Paris the activists concentrated on promoting the French version of the book "Como llego la noche" by Huber Matos that is now available in French bookstores under the title "Et La Nuit Est Tombee" published by "Belles Letres". The itinerary for the day included interviews with the French Television, the French international Radio both in Spanish as well as in French. Discussed at all of these venues, were the current Cuban problems, and the need for solidarity by Europe for the cause of the Cuban people. Newspapers such as "Le Monde" and "Le Figaro" covered these events in their Saturday editions.

Later and concluding the tour the Secretary General of the Independent and Democratic Cuba (CID), Commander Huber Matos, Eng. César Alarcón, Prof. Francisco Condis, and Lic. Luis Tornés Aguililla, met at the publishing house the "Belles Lettres" with the French writers Gilles Bataillon and Serge Raffy, author of the book "Castro the Disloyal one"
